Carnival

Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, masque and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life.

ESO 1 - 2nd Term PBL

ESO 1 Students,

Your task is to send me an e-postcard imagining you are in a foreign country (click here or on the envelope image on the right-hand menu to access my e-mail address). You must include details about where you are: describe the place, describe the weather, the things that you and the other people you are doing and what you are doing next. And it would be just fine if you could insert a nice small photo of one of the most famous landmarks in that country.

Comenius 1st Prize Winner - Congratulations Andrea!!

Nine ESO-4 students travelled to Altentreptow, Germany, from January 29th to February 4th, in order to take part in the Comenius School Partnership European Week. There they had the opportunity to get to know their colleagues not only from Germany, but from Poland and Estonia, practise their English and get involved in various cultural activities.

The organization held a logo competition open to every student from the 4 schools involved in the programme and we are proud to announce that our ESO-1 student Andrea Aguado Oliveira's design was awarded the 1st prize thanks to her wonderful design (click to enlarge):

Some Jokes

A joke (or gag) is a phrase or a paragraph with a humorous twist. It can be in many different forms, such as a question or short story.
