ESO 4 Best 2012 Graduation Speech

ESO 4 Students,

Here is Antía Suárez's graduation speech. It is the best speech in ESO 4 this year, not only because of its contents, but also because she delivered it with fairly good pronunciation, rhythm and fluency and her stance, posture and eye-contact with the audience were remarkable.

Antía Suárez has been a brilliant student but, what is more important, she has always shown positve attitude and work ethics, has been a good friend for all her schoolmates and it really has been our honour and a privilege to have her among our students at Labor School.

Congratulations, Antía! We know your are going to do a brilliant job at the ESO 4 Graduation event to be held next Friday 22nd.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for coming to our graduation.

I´m really scared, not because of this speech, but because of this new stage that we are about to begin. Those who already left used to say that all of us have changed, and those who are still here with us think we are just the same.

We leave a lot of memories behind, memories that will remain with us the rest of our lives. With these memories we can realize how we have changed during these years, and how much we have learnt.  I cannot forget so many feelings that we shared, because we have seen each other grow up.

The fear of the first day, how we fought to sit next to our best friend when we were little children, sharing the lunch, getting dirty with paint, all the trips, all the parties…

Some have found love in corridors and halls, other have made friendships that have become indestructible; but, after all, each and every one of us have left our mark.

On behalf of all my schoolmates, I would like to thank all our teachers, for always helping us to move forward, for enduring thousands of our jokes and for teaching us a little bit more about life every day.

I would also like to say that the closeness between students and teachers has made our years at school much easier. I know that at the bottom of your hearts you are going to miss us.

Thanks, of course, to our parents, who have been an important pillar for all of us. Without them, all this would not have been possible. Thank you for worrying so much about us, for all those long talks that taught us so  valuable lessons.

I think that one of the most important things we have learnt is fellowship. Our fellowship has been especially felt during this last schoolyear. Each and every one of us has been there for our partners who have needed it, in joy and in sorrow.  All of us were aware that this was our last year together, that we would be having our lasts laughs together, the lasts hugs and tears that will remain with us forever.

And to you, my friends, what can I say to you that you don't know by now? During all this time we have shared so many things, so many experiences that should stay forever among us. Values like effort, friendship, respect, affection… This school has left its mark on all of us, and I think that everyone carries in their heart a piece of everyone else.

I wish you all the very best for the future. I wish you can really enjoy life, because you deserve it. Guys, you are awesome.

Thank you again everybody for your presence here today. So long…
